“Passionate about bariatric surgery since my first years of studies, I started the internship in surgery in Romania within the team more experienced in the management of obesity.

I continued my sleeve training in Montpellier with Professor David Nocca, but I was also trained by Dr. Patrick Noel.

It was during all these years that I discovered the taste of scientific work. I published several studies with Professor Michel Gagner, director of the first « sleeve » worldwide. With these works I participated with presentations in several congresses IFSO and ASMBS.

All this allowed me to obtain the position of « Head of Clinic » at the New Hospital Civil of Stasbourg and which allowed me to acquire today an important experience on the « Gastric By-pass ».

For me, bariatric surgery is a functional surgery: The choice of the procedure is « the choice of the patient » except absolute contraindication.”
